RCC Fair Play Policy:
Educational Resources: We strongly encourage you to watch the fair-play policy video by GM Lin Chen, and carefully read the chess.com fair play regulations at Chess.com Fair Play Policy. RCC adheres strictly to the chess.com fair play policy and aligns its responses with the actions taken by chess.com. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a fair and respectful competitive environment.
RCC Anti-Cheating Policy Commitment to Integrity and Sportsmanship:
RCC place the utmost importance on the cultivation of student integrity and sportsmanship. We strictly prohibit any form of cheating in our chess matches. This includes the use of software, mobile phones, computers, or receiving hints from parents, siblings, or others. Cheating is irresponsible behavior that disrespects both oneself and others.
Exclusion of Non-Participants: Once the match setup is complete and the child begins to play, all family members, friends, and other unrelated individuals must leave the vicinity of the playing area. These individuals are strictly prohibited from providing any form of guidance during the match. Post-match reviews and discussions are permitted.
Match Integrity: All matches must be Rated.
RCC will utilize the anti-cheating engine of chess.com to ensure the integrity of matches. Starting this semester, it is no longer required to keep the camera on during matches (please refer to the detailed fair play policy below).
Policy Violation: Any failure to adhere to these basic requirements will result in an automatic loss in the match and the forfeiture of the opportunity to participate in the weekly match review and commentary.
In cases where a student's chess.com account is suspended due to a violation of the chess.com fair play policy: we will temporarily suspend the counting of points for classroom matches and internal competitions until a successful appeal is made. If reinstated, scores and standings will be updated promptly. Repeated violations within the same semester may lead to disqualification from internal competitions and classroom matches.
In cases of severe misconduct, RCC reserves the right to expel the student from the club without a refund of fees.

RCC非常注重学生的素质和体育精神的培养，我们的比赛严禁作弊，同时我们也不希望任何非正常行为影响对局的质量。任何作弊（软件，手机，电脑，父母兄弟姐妹提示等）是对自己和他人的不负责任。所以我们要求：a) 所有家长，兄弟姐妹朋友等无关人士在对局调试完，娃开始下棋后，一律离开孩子下棋的区域，更不得对孩子下棋进行指导。可以下完后进行点评。b) 所有对局必须是Rated，RCC将利用chess.com的反作弊引擎判断对局的integrity，从本学期开始不需要打开摄像头（请参考下文的fair play policy）
如果上面两条下棋的基本要求没有做到，对局一律判负，同时取消本周评讲下棋的机会。
如果比赛中发现作弊证据确凿，第一次将严重警告。第二次将永远从本俱乐部除名并且不予退还学费。
对于因为违反chess.com fair play policy被网站停用账号的情况: 在没有申诉成功前，我们将暂时不统计本学期课堂对局以及内部赛积分（申诉成功后会尽快恢复）。同一学期内如果多次发生这种情况，学校将参考具体情况取消该同学参加内部赛和班级课堂对局资格，严重违纪情况学校有权将学员从本俱乐部除名并且不予退还学费。

RCC After-school Chess Arrangement
Schedule Posting: The Teaching Assistant (TA) will publish the weekly match schedule prior to each lecture.
Post-Lecture Matches: At the conclusion of each lecture, students are required to remain in the Zoom meeting. They should then proceed to play their scheduled match against the assigned opponent, as detailed in the pairing list.
Match Type: All matches are to be Chess.com Rated Games.
Time Control: The time control for matches is set at 15 minutes with a 10-second increment for elementary and intermediate classes, and 25 minutes with a 10-second increment for advanced and competitive levels.
Leave Absence Policy and Remedial Matches:
Scoring: Strictly In line with USCF (United States Chess Federation) rules, students absent from their scheduled weekly match will not receive points for that round.
Immediate Action: If a student's opponent fails to appear within 10 minutes after the class, the student should play a match on chess.com against a random opponent. This match must then be submitted to the TA for review as part of this week's activities.
Extended Option: Students who miss their scheduled match have the option to play a compensatory game on chess.com against a random opponent within one week of the missed class. This game should also be sent to the TA for review.
Please be aware that these make-up matches may not be reviewed by the regular class coach but will still contribute to the student's learning and progress assessment.
